Jody Newman is a member of the faculty for an MCLE Program entitled “Advising Employers and Employees on Off-Duty Conduct & Privacy in the Workplace” on May 10, 2016. Jody joins an experienced panel to provide practical advice on the sensitive balance between employers’ business interests and employees’ privacy rights—along with key insights into how access to employee information can unconsciously taint decision-making and lead to legal claims and liability. Jody's discussion will focus on Unexamined Bias.
At this program, the panelists offer a full range of perspectives, including that of in-house counsel, management lawyers and employee-side counsel. The audience will get guidance on workplace privacy concerns and issues related to off-duty conduct that arise every day in the workplace—from hiring through retention, employee discipline, and termination.
